William Friedkin (born August 29, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois) is a Jewish-American movie and television director, producer, and writer better known for directing The Exorcist and The French Connection in the early 1970's. When seeing a motion-picture show Citizen Kane as a boy, he became fascinated sustaining motion-picture show & immediately began working for WGN-TV after high school. He yet began directing survive television shows and docudrama including A Humans vs. Paul Crump which won many awards & helped to commute a demise phrase of the film's subject.
